Ordering Guide

Overwhelmed by the options? No prob. We’ll figure this out together.

How much to order depends on the amount of meat your household consumes, and your freezer space.

How much meat do you eat?

When beef and pork is properly packaged, it can stay at its best for up to 12 months in the freezer. (The main exceptions are sausages and ground meats, which are best consumed within 2 to 4 months.) We recommend ordering only the amount that you’ll consume within a year, and plan on polishing off any ground meat and sausages within the first few months.

We’re always just one click away when you’re ready to order more.

How much freezer space do you need?

If you have a small freezer - like the freezer in your fridge - you can usually accommodate a 10 lb box. Your best bet is our CSA subscription, which is a monthly delivery of 10 lbs.

With a medium freezer - like a small chest freezer - you can probably take up to 20 lbs at a time. You could double up on one of our CSA subscriptions (for example, 10 lb each of pork and beef each month), or order bulk ground beef.

A large freezer - like a big chest freezer - is really the only way to accommodate a bulk order - a quarter / half / whole beef, or a half / whole pork.

Remember - if you just want to see what all the fuss is about, you can order a trial box or pick up a single cut from our friends at the Wakefield Bakery, 813 ch Riverside in Wakefield, QC.
